simpleSet is a local-first app: it's designed so your workout data never has to leave your device. This page explains exactly what that means in practice.
Everything you enter into simpleSet — imported plans, workout sessions, logged sets, personal records, and app preferences like light/dark mode — is stored in your browser's local database (IndexedDB) on your own device. There is no account system, no sign-in, and no server operated by simpleSet that this data is ever sent to. If you clear your browser's site data, uninstall the app, or switch devices, that data does not carry over — simpleSet does not keep a backup copy anywhere.
When you import a plan from a Word document, spreadsheet, PDF, or text file on your device, that file is read and parsed entirely in your browser. It is never uploaded to a server.
If you choose to connect Google Drive, simpleSet uses Google's own sign-in flow to request read-only access to your Drive. This is used for one purpose only: letting you pick a single file to import as a workout plan. Specifically:
simpleSet does not use analytics, tracking scripts, or advertising of any kind, and does not share data with any third party.
simpleSet does not use cookies. It uses your browser's local storage only to remember your display preferences (like theme) on your own device.
Because all data lives in your browser, you're always in control of it. You can delete individual plans, sessions, or logged sets from within the app, or remove everything at once by clearing this site's data from your browser settings.
simpleSet is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from children.
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Continued use of simpleSet after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
